Application(s) of the Day

My Itchy Travel Feet blog published a list of 5 useful mobile applications for staying healthy while traveling.

“During my younger years, I’ll admit to be a complete travel gorger. I entered every new city with a no-holds-barred mentality: see, do, and especially, eat everything the city’s culinary scene has to offer. Good times were had and I can’t say I regret my many years of gluttony.”

  1.  Hatha Yoga
  2. Nutrition Menu
  3. Trailhead by North Face

Movies

Would you like to watch movies on your iPad? Why not?

Hulu Plus for iPad redesigned with new discovery panel. The new app includes a discovery panel that displays more details about episodes, shows, and seasons with a tap. Tapping a show will show you the first, next, or latest episode to watch, depending on your viewing history for that show. If you tap an episode, you’ll get a summary and some info on that specific clip. Swiping left or right will let you browse seasons with little effort. Double-tapping any image will take you straight to watching the content.

Memory Card with Wi-Fi

Eye-Fi — a wireless SD card maker — launched a new memory card for photographers on Monday that can send photos and videos to your smartphone or tablet device at a lower cost than its predecessors.

The new Eye-Fi Mobi replaces the standard SD memory card in your digital camera, and with its built-in Wi-Fi, the card sends photos to your smartphone even without a Wi-Fi network or Internet connection.

The new Mobi card’s price:

  •  $49.99 (8 GB)
  •  $79.99 (16 GB)

It may not be as worthy of $$$, considering many smartphone cameras have a high photo quality.
